Electronic Workflow

Workflow is a rule based document process management system. This enables information to be moved around the organisation, in accordance with a defined set of rules, automatically. For example a purchase requisition can be filled in, directly in the EDMS, and automatically sent to the appropriate manager for approval, based on responsibility and authorisation level. He/she can reject it, or approve it and then pass it automatically to the procurement department, if approved, or back to the requestor with a reason for rejection. This effectively enables business processes to be designed to match the requirements of each organisation and mandate best corporate practice.
